Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Elizabeth Ann-Bahe-Coochwytewa July 14, 2012 Memorial Services for Elizabeth 'Liz' Ann Bahe-Coochwytewa, 63, will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 27, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Winslow, AZ. Liz passed away on July 14, 2012 in Flagstaff, AZ. She was born on August 24, 1948 to Perry & Laverne Bahe in Winslow, AZ. Liz lived in Winslow all her life. She was a Cosmetologist for over 30 years and beautified many Winslow residents. She was the proud owner of Shear Indulgence for many years. Liz also worked for Indian Health Service for a few years as a Family Planning Counselor prior to becoming a Cosmetologist. Liz was raised by her parents as a Christian; she also honored her husband Sam's Hopi traditions. One of her biggest hobbies was cleaning, she was always cleaning everything and even if she was visiting family and friends she would clean their house. She also liked to play Bunco, Bingo and Texas Holdem. Loved to travel and provide for her family and friends. She loved to embarrass everyone with her jokes many of you guys know her favorite joke. She loved to bake, and there are many residents here in Winslow who will miss her Banana and Yeast Bread. Loved to decorate for Christmas, her nativity scenes were awesome, and she collected all types of salt & pepper shakers. She also loved to bowl, as many of you will remember your times in Las Vegas. One thing that surprised everyone is the way Sam and her danced, they loved to dance together. One of her BIGGEST qualities was her SMILE. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone. Liz is survived by her husband of 44 years, Sam Coochwytewa, and they just celebrated their anniversary on June 22nd. Sam was there for her all the time, he was her strength and the love of her life. They were together for almost 50 years. High School sweethearts until the very end. Sons, Anthony 'Toni' Ray Coochwytewa and Jordan Jayce Kelley; daughter, Terra Lynn Coochwytewa; God son, Charleston 'Charlie' Lewis; God daughter, Miah Nicole Villareal; mother, Laverne N Bahe; sisters and brothers, Lorraine B. Thomas of Glendale, AZ, Geraldine 'Geri' Hernandez (Micky) of Rimrock, AZ, Evelyn J. Yazzie of Flagstaff, AZ, Steven P. Bahe of Window Rock, AZ, Larry F. Bahe(Linda) of Phoenix, AZ and Phyllis Huskon(Floyd)of Tuba City, AZ. Children, all and all Liz has TOO many to count. This would include the Navajo family, Hopi family and the many children that she adopted and provided for throughout the years. grandchildren, 50, all her sisters and brothers have children, who have grandkids, and she so wanted to be a grandmother with all her heart and this is how she became one. Great-grandchildren, 18, since she was Nana Liz this also made her a Great Nana Liz. Others mentioned, Our puppies Keka (Lou) & (Champ) Bailey Coochwytewa. We know they drove her crazy at times, but we know that when we weren�t around she babied the dogs.
