SELLARDS, Ruth Elaine

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, July 24, 2012 Ruth Elaine Sellards, 91, of Cottonwood passed away July 9, 2012. Ruth was born July 16, 1920 in Gooding, Idaho to the late Fintes and Bessie (Hargraves) Leeper. An early age Ruth loved to ride horses and was known to be a good shot. Later she lived in San Diego where she worked as a volunteer at the La Jolla Temple for the LDS Church. Late in life she moved to Cottonwood and always looked forward to seeing her friends at the Cottonwood Senior Center where she enjoyed the good company of the wonderful people there. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Richardson and Sharon Fulton; her son, Avery Sellards; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will take place at a later date.
