Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Frances Hansen (Died July 13, 2012) Frances Mary Hansen passed from this life at the age of 96 on Friday July 13, 2012 at the home of her son in Tempe, AZ. Born in Capitol Heights, Maryland to George and Lillian Babcock she is survived by only 1 of her 10 siblings- James Babcock. She moved to Tucson, AZ at a young age and spent the majority of her life in Arizona. She worked hard to overcome many of life’s obstacles as a cashier and sometimes single mother, but she always took the time to look her best and never forgot to send a birthday card with a dollar or two inside. She was preceded in life by her daughters Signe and Patricia and is survived by her other 4 children, Gaylord, Robert, Deanna, and Andrew. She has 14 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Grandma, we will miss your paintings, dancing, and most of all your stories! Funeral arrangements have been made by Norvel Owens Mortuary and will begin Friday, July 2oth at 11am with a viewing one hour prior in the Kyrene Ward LDS Chapel at 1050 W. Grove Parkway Tempe, AZ. A burial service at Mesa Cemetery- 1212 N. Center St. Mesa, AZ 85201 will conclude the proceedings.
