The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, July 31, 2012 Julie Kamps, born July 26, 1958, died June 29, 2012. She lived as full a life as possible while battling infections for 25 years. Cancer finally took her. She has gone on ahead to wait for her husband of 34 years, Ken Kamps, and their three children (Jacob, Portia and Salem) and extended family. She was a godly wife, home school mom, Vice President and accountant for JPS Paint Center, and birthing assistant for their three grandsons. A celebration service will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 10:30 a.m., at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, 3605 Zalesky Road, Cottonwood , AZ. Jim Hammond of Verde Valley Christian Church will officiate the celebration. Information provided by survivors.
