Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Friday, August 03, 2012 Rolland Lawrence Henderson left this world, July 29, 2012, held in the arms of his mother and father, Steven and Dänielle (Hendricks) Henderson. Born 16 weeks early on June 26, 2012, weighing 15.52 ounces, Rolland's courageous battle and his message of love and hope has been shared by family, friends, hospital nurses and staff, and thousands of people throughout the United States and Canada who offered unconditional love, positives, prayers, and words of encouragement. Rolland is survived by his parents, half brother Steven, grandparents Colleen Hendricks, Sandra & Robert Hastie, Larry & Mary O' Henderson, and Merelyn Hendricks & Marilyn Semones, great-grandmother June Marr, his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins and the extraordinary family of nurses, Doctors and personal in the NICU at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ. A Celebration of Love is planned for Rolland on 8/4/12, 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Hospital Chapel in Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers a donation fund to help with all of Rolland's medical bills, and been set up (www.fundly.com/babyhendersonmemorialmedicalfund) or scrapbook (baby stickers, paper ect.) donations to the nurses at St. Joe's NICU station, or donations of household or cleaning items for the Ronald McDonald House would be much appreciated.
