West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, August 03, 2012 Ernie Edward Salter, 77, of Goodyear died July 28, 2012, in Sun City from a stroke. Mr. Salter was born June 12, 1935, in Chandler. He served in the Army for three years and was a Korean War veteran. His attained the rank of private first class, and was honorably discharged in 1955. He worked 18 years for Alcoa, was a small business owner and retired at age 62. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
