Billy Koch, of Apache Junction, AZ, and formerly of Sterling, CO, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Family will be honoring Billy’s memory and celebrating his life at a memorial on August 18, 2012 at Parrish Ranch.
Billy was born in Alliance, NB, on February 5, 1930, to William and Bernice Koch. He grew up in Minnesota, along with his three sisters and five brothers, before serving in the military.
Billy was an electronics specialist, a nature lover, a talented artist and wood carver. He also enjoyed working with honey bees and was an avid bee keeper for many years. In addition to creating beautiful wood carvings and spending time with family and friends, Billy enjoyed traveling, dancing and attending music jams with Verla, his wife and companion of 33 years.
Billy is survived by his children, Pam, Sharon, David and their mother, Royce Williams of Sterling, CO; and his wife, Verla and her children, Terry, Tracy and Trudy. Billy was loved and cherished by his family and will be remembered by his children, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous family members.
