H. Ruth Porter, 68, of Mesa, died Wed., Sept. 27, 1989, at Valley Lutheran Hospital. Memorial services were held Sept. 30 at Broadway Christian Church, 7335 E. Broadway Road in Mesa. A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mrs. Porter moved to Arizona 25 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Warner Porter; sons, Michael Porter of Tempe and Patrick Porter of Kalamazoo, MI; stepmother, Elsie Koning of Hillsdale, MI; sister, Ellen Dessenberger of Mesa; brother, Jim Koning of MI; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bunkers Desert View Chapel handled the arrangements. East Valley Tribune Oct. 1, 1989.
