The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, August 08, 2012 Shirley J. Van Zile, 85, wife of Bill Van Zile and daughter of Clarence and Viola Hallahan, lost a lengthy battle with heart failure on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz. She is survived by her husband, Bill Van Zile; her son, Bill Van Zile; two grandsons, Shawn and Chad Van Zile; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Erdman; and a brother, Bruce Hallahan. "I don't know how Shirley, this Irish lady, let herself get involved with this Dutch-German-Frenchman, but I do know that after 65 years of marriage, this Irish lady was the best thing that ever happened to me," says her husband. Sunrise Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Information provided by survivors.
