Charles Gonzalez, 24, formerly of Winslow, died July 30, 2012, in Phoenix.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Victory Love Ministries, 1004 N. Williamson Ave., Winslow, followed by a wake at the same location.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m., also at Victory Love Ministries.
Greer's Mortuary of Winslow is handling the arrangements.

Maricopa, AZ - Charles Anthony Gonzalez, 24, formerly of Winslow, AZ and Rapid City, SD crossed into the spirit world Monday, July 30, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. His battle with Neuroendocrine cancer was quick but he triumphed over the disease because although it took his body his spirit remained untouched.
Wake Services will be held at Victory Love Ministries 1004 N. Williamson Ave. Winslow, AZ to celebrate his life from 7:30 pm Friday, Aug. 3, to Saturday morning at 9:00 am. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am with Pastor David Setalla officiating.
Charles was born June 25,1988, to John Gonzalez and Charlotte (Belone) Gonzalez at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Charles had a rich cultural background with Navajo on his mother's side, Lakota, Mexican, and Scottish on his father's side. He was To'dich'i'nii (Bitter Water) born for the Naalani (Lakota). His Maternal grandparents were Hashk'aan Hadzoi (Yucca Fruit) and his Paternal grandparents were Nakai (Mexican) Dine.
Charles grew up in North Rapid City attending Knollwood Heights Elementary, North Middle School, and Central High. He spent most of his free time at the Rapid City Club for Boys where he developed his remarkable basketball skills. He moved to Seba Dalkai, AZ in 2005 attending Winslow High School until his graduation in 2007 where he was a member of the Varsity Basketball Team.
At the time of his passing, Charles was a Managing Partner of Gonzalez Entertainment Group, LLC the family owned and licensed Artist Management Agency, Independent Record Label, and Recording Studio located in Tempe, AZ. He was an aspiring Music Producer and Artist having recorded solo projects and collaborated works with other artists.
Charles father gave him the Lakota name Hehaka Ska (White Elk).
Charles is survived by his parents John and Charlotte, brother JJ and sister Gabriella all of Maricopa, AZ, daughter Jaylee Amora Gonzalez of Smith Lake, NM, Maternal Grandparents Charley and Rose Belone of Seba Dalkai, AZ, uncles Mario Gonzalez of Black Hawk,SD, Leonard Gonzalez of Rapid City, SD, Larry Gonzalez of Porterville, CA, Edvis Belone of Rapid City, SD, Randolph Belone and Marvin Belone both of Seba Dalkai, AZ, Riley Belone of Flagstaff, AZ, aunts Margarette Rasch, Olivia Gonzalez-Downs and Brenda McGlynn, all of Rapid City, SD, and Debra Wilford of Brooklyn, NY, Carmelita Bay, Charlinda Belone, Rosita Belone, Carlyn Belone, Carlotta Belone, all of Winslow, AZ, Regina Belone of Dilkon, AZ, Hunka Aunt Shelby Frame of Pierre, SD; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Gabriel and Geneva Gonzalez, Great Grandfather Jack Riggs, cousins Tammy Rasch, Summer and Tera Singer. Charles touched many lives during his brief life and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was known most for his infectious smile, his generosity, his sense of humor and his compassion for others.
Charles will be flown to Rapid City, SD for a one night wake service to be held at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City beginning at 6:00pm Monday, August 6, 2012. Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, at the Mother Butler Center with Rev. Olivia Gonzalez-Downs officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain View/Mount Calvary Cemetery, where Christian rites will be conducted followed by Traditional Lakota graveside rites conducted by Fred Menard.
Family meetings nightly at 5 pm (DST) ending Thursday night at 'grandparents' residence (Charley & Rose Belone) 3.5 miles SW Seba Dalkai Boarding School.
