MASELLA, Felicia (Sugar)


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, July 26, 2012 - Felicia “Sugar” Masella, 56, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Havasu Nursing Center. Felicia was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Reseda, Calif., to James and Sherry Masella, who preceded her in death. Felicia was raised by her dear grandmother, Susie Masella, in Lake Zurich, Ill. Her father Jim moved to California with his three daughters. Felicia lived in Yucca Valley and San Bernandino, Calif. and Texas. She moved to Lake Havasu City in 2001 where she rescued ferrets and nurtured them. Felicia held many jobs. Her favorite positions were as a vet tech and a delivery driver for an automotive company, where she was able to express her talents and love of animals, socializing with people and fulfilling their needs. She was known for her adventuresome spirit, directness and teasing her sisters with blonde jokes. Her last days were made so loving by the RNs and CNAs of Havasu Nursing Center and Chaplain Kathy of New Hope Hospice. Felicia is survived by her son, Donald Masella Shearer and his wife Devin Blackwell; and granddaughter, Bunnie; her granddaughters, Daisy Jane, of Florida, Candace, of California; and her deceased granddaughter, Marissa; her dear daughter, Stephenie Brown; her sisters, Suzanne Pollok (Julian) and Candace Masella-Richardson (Larry); her “Butterfly partner-cousin” Toni Beckett (Bill); cousins, John “Car 1” Masella, Susan Masella and Dominic Masella and cousins in Chicago, Arizona, Baltimore and Florida. She goes ahead of her long-time partner, Randy Cummings, and her dear friend and companion, Ron Molitor. A visitation and viewing will be held July 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel in Lake Havasu City. A Funeral Mass will be held July 31 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 11 a.m. A Mourners will be held at 2212 N Kiowa, Lake Havasu City following the funeral.
