Joanne Nicholson passed away July 31, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 84. She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Gail (Haggin) and Loyd Petersen May 25, 1928.
Joanne married her husband of 23 years, Ken, in Las Vegas, Nev. They lived in Santa Monica, Calif., until relocating to Lake Havasu City in 1992. Joanne was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and was a volunteer for Hospice of Havasu.
Joanne leaves behind her sister, Letty Aguilu, of Seal Beach, Calif.; and dear friend Barbara Hutton, of Lake Havasu City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; and son, Mike Nicholas.
The family has requested no services. Joanne will join her husband at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joanne’s name to Hospice of Havasu 365 S. Lake Havasu Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
