Anthony “Tony” Rinaldi passed away Aug. 7, 2012 in Lake Havasu City. He was born in Rochester, N.Y. Aug. 2, 1933 to James and Jennie Rinaldi. He was a member of the United States Army and stationed in Germany from 1953 to 1955. Upon his return he resumed working for a banana company where he soon became manager and married his high school sweetheart, Carol.
In 1968 he began working at Stromberg Carlson in Rochester as a draftsman, where he was then employed for ten years. In 1978 he began working at Eastman Kodak as a Senior Drafter until his retirement in 1989. The same year he made a journey to the West coast where he partnered as owner and developer of Casa de Rico Homes.
Tony had many passions in life; his favorites were his grandchildren, golfing, gardening, the gift of telling a good story, entertaining and laughing with friends.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks.
Tony is survived by Carol, his loving and devoted wife of 57 years; his son, James (Darlene); grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley, James and Mario. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two very special people, Kevin and Gina Thompson. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and four sisters.
Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He has left a void in many hearts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer society or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Services for Tony will be Thursday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
