Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Theresa "Terry" Francis Gause, 81, passed away on Monday, August 06, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. with her loving family by her side with the care, comfort and compassion of Hospice of Havasu. She was born on November 19, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Clara (Schlegel) Lawler. Terry was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA. She married Geroge Dickes in 1950 and they had a son, Frank and a daughter, Theresa "Cookie". The family moved to Orange County, CA. in 1962 and lived in South Dakota for a time and finally settled in Lake Havasu City, AZ. in 2009. Terry loved roller skating and dancing in her early years. In her later years Terry loved to travel, enjoyed going to the beach, watching sunsets, visiting the dog park, shopping and her favorite local spots to go were Las Vegas, Laughlin and Parker. Terry was a huge animal lover and had many loving pets throughout her lifetime. She was a bookkeeper by occupation and worked at various places throughout her career including T.M. Cobb and Pacific View Memorial Park. Terry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, George Dickes, her mother, Clara Schlegel and her father, Joseph Lawler. She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Theresa "Cookie" Dickes; son, Frank Dickes both of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; grandson, Randy Reese; sister, Clair Verrecchio; niece, Joyce Gavio; nephew, Gary Verrecchio; her pets, Renee, Ginger and Fatty. She also leaves behind many loving friends, including Jerry Bybee and Becky Smith. The family has requested no services.
