VESTAL, Frank (Clay)


Today News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on August 15, 2012 - Frank "Clay" Vestal passed away after a long fight with respiratory disease Aug. 10, 2012. He was surrounded by all of his family. To all who knew him he was a hard working, doing and loving husband and father. Clay was born Oct. 25, 1934 in San Bernardino, Calif., to parents Frank and Willye Grey Vestal. He graduated high school in Riverside, Calif. He and Fredrica married almost 50 years ago. He worked as a business manager for a heavy construction company and retired in 1997 to Chelan, Wash., the town he and his wife fell in love with many years earlier where they had built a home. Upon retirement he took up many hobbies staying quite busy. He loved working out at the gym, playing golf, fishing and boating on Lake Chelan and driving his black Dodge Viper around town. Clay was always quick to help anyone in need and was known for his kindness and generosity. He was many things to many people and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Fredrica; his children, Leslie Strachan, Lisa Bottorff and Eric Vestal; his grandchildren, Jessica Stark, Nicole Lee, Jacob and Jordyn Vestal as well as great-grandchildren Kendall and Leah Stark and Jackson and Payton Lee. He is also survived by his sister, Claudette Dean, of Arizona. A memorial service will be at Precht Rose Chapel in Chelan, Wash., Saturday, at 3 p.m. The service will be followed by a gathering of his friends and family at 100 El Dorado Court in Chelan, to remember and celebrate his life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan, Wash.
