MANSFIELD, Richard F.


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 Richard F. Mansfield, 65, passed away on Aug. 14, 2012, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 9, 1947, in Goshen, Ind., to Willis W. and Margaret M. (Sherman) Mansfield. He graduated from Goshen High School in 1965 and attended Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., graduating with a degree in business administration in 1969. Following graduation, he moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., and began a career in retail. His first position was in the flooring industry and later specializing in menswear for 25 years. He moved to Prescott, Ariz., in 2002. His passions in life were golfing, trout fishing in the White Mountains of Arizona, model railroading and the music of The Four Freshmen and "Ol' Blue Eyes." His nephews, Tony and Brandon, were his "fishing buddies" from an early age. Richard is survived by his sister, Patricia A. Lang of Prescott; nephews Robert Anthony Lang (Jennifer) of Parker, Colo., and Brandon William Lang (Marci) of Gilbert, Ariz.; grandnephews Ryden Mansfield, Mason William and Sawyer Woods Lang; grandniece Kierlyn Makenzie Lang; and the father of his nephews, Robert A. Lang of Phoenix. Burial will be in Prescott, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association. Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary, Prescott.
