DRAKE, II, Rex Orville

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona Rex Drake (October 12, 1940 ~ August 14, 2012) Rex Orville Drake II, 71, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 peacefully in his sleep at home. Rex was survived by his loving and faithful wife Roslyn, 2 daughters Kristin and Magen and his son Cody. He was blessed with 6 grandchildren Emily 14, Jacob 13, Kyle 11, Clayton 9, William 5, Jaxson 5 months, along with son in laws Eric and Kevin and daughter in law Kendall. Rex was born October 12, 1940 in Panama City, Florida to Elaine and Rex senior. Rex was a dedicated Marine and proudly served as a Gunny Sergeant, survived 2 tours in the Vietnam War then retired in 1972. Rex developed a passion for prospecting for gold in re-enacting the Civil War. Thank you to all of those who touched his life, supported him and his family and those who stayed, tried and true through the good times and the times of sorrow. Rex was a loving husband and compassionate father who will be deeply missed. We love you. Service is 2:00 pm on Friday, August 17, 2012 A celebration of Rex's Life at Prescott National Cemetery.
