SALAS, Frances Jean

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/17/2012 Frances Jean Salas (Baca), 65, of Pinetop went to be with our Lord Saturday, Aug. 11. She was born April 4, 1947, in McNary. Frances was a graduate of McNary High School and lived most of her adult life in Pinetop. Frances dearly loved her sons and grandchildren and she will be greatly missed. Frances was preceded in death by her father, Juan Baca, three sisters Martha Talavera, Sally Sasser and Ostillia Garcia. She is survived by her mother (and recent centenarian), Inez Baca; sons: David Brevik, Jr. and Richard Brevik; grandchildren: Jeffrey Brevik, Jennifer Brevik, Bradley Brevik, Justin Brevik and Madison Brevik and siblings: Velma Garcia, Tony Baca, Danny Baca, Sadie Carrillo, Pat Baca, Leroy Baca, Annie Flores, Arlene Rojas, Billie Baca, as well as her long-time and loving companion Mario Leon. A visitation and rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 1915 Penrod Lane in Pinetop, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Entombment will immediately follow at the Lakeside Cemetery, 1265 Larson Road in Lakeside.
