MCFADYEN, Bonnie Ann

(Maiden Name: Lowry)

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on August 16, 2012 - Bonnie Ann McFadyen was born on June 3, 1955, in Chicago, Ill. She was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, in Kingman. In 1968, Bonnie moved to Kingman with her family. She attended Kingman High School and graduated in 1973. On Sept. 6, 1974, she met her soul mate, Bob McFadyen. On Sept. 6, 1975, exactly one year later, Bob and Bonnie got married. They had two children, Bobby Jr. and Heather, in the following few years. Once she had a family and home of her own, Bonnie dedicated her life to her family. Bonnie had various jobs while raising her family. She was an employee at Tucker Warehouse, a secretary for Burton Carter and Associates, and the Photo Lab Manager at Smith's Grocery Store. For the last 7 years, Bonnie has worked for the Mohave County Sheriff's Office as the Evidence Coordinator. Bonnie will be remembered by her grandchildren, Kylee, Holly, Pax, Casen, Baylor, and Paisley. Their "Gramma" was the light of their life. She had a God-given gift when it came to kids - especially her grandkids. She would do anything for their happiness. Bonnie's family was her main focus, but she did enjoy some other past times. She was an avid bird watcher and kept record of the birds that came into her yard. A pair of binoculars were in her purse at all times so she would be prepared wherever she was if she saw a new bird. She loved working in her yard, making it a beautiful and serene place to play and relax. She loved camping, fishing, crocheting, cooking, helping others and taking care of her animals. Bonnie led a simple, relaxed, happy life and that was all she ever wanted. Bonnie was a giving, caring, calm, peaceful and amazingly selfless wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her family unconditionally and did everything in her power to show her love and devotion. Bonnie has left a legacy of love that has bonded and strengthened our family forever. We will miss her for the rest of our lives, but rejoice in the thought that one day we will be together again in God's Kingdom. Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Lowry. Bonnie will forever be remembered by her husband of almost 37 years, Bob McFadyen Sr.; her son, Bobby (Candi) McFadyen Jr. of Kingman; her daughter Heather (Brian) Short of Kingman; her six beautiful grandchildren; her parents, Phyllis Gillis of Kingman and George (Betty) Lowry Sr. of Kingman; her siblings, John (Pat) Lowry, Crystal Lowry, Jo (Randy) Critchlow, Pat (Cindy) Lowry, Emil (Debbie) Lowry, George (Shirley) Lowry, Susie Carico, Ralph Lowry, Paula Wise and David Nantz; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Our family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to us since the sudden and unexpected loss of our mom. The outpouring of love, prayer, meals, visits, and time has helped strengthen us in our greatest time of need. We feel so blessed to have this support. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, at Kingman First Assembly of God, 1850 Gates Ave.
