Jack MacNeill, 83, Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away at his home surrounded by family on August 14, 2012. Jack Irving MacNeill was born on December 4, 1928 at Portland, OR to Benjamin and Hazel (Courser) MacNeill.
After graduating from high school he served in the Naval Reserves and later the US Army. He married Elnoria Garrison in October 1951. They were married for 60 years at his passing. Jack was self- employed, doing custom boat upholstery for many years in Southern California. He enjoyed boat racing in his younger days. He also loved Hawaii and moved his family there, for several years before they relocated to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1978.
He then worked for many years, at Campbell Boats. Jack was a pioneer of Street Rodding. He spent many years building custom street rods from scratch. He was a member of L. A. Roadsters Club and then Relics and Rods of Lake Havasu. He applied his craft to include customizing the upholstery of many beautiful street rods. He found great enjoyment in rod runs, car shows, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his wife Elnoria MacNeill; one son Scott MacNeill; one daughter LeAnn (Tim) Richey, all of Lake Havasu City, AZ; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
