Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Tuesday, August 21, 2012 Frank M. Gonzales Frank went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Aug. 19, 2012 at 3:54 a.m. at Whitter, Calif. Frank is survived by numerous nephews and nieces, Bob, John, Frank, Anna, Margaret, Tony, George, Anna, Dickie, Christine, Claudia and Antoinette; 21 grand nephews and nieces; four great grand nieces and nephews; and two brothers in Law, Tino and Albert. Frank was born in Miami, Ariz. on Oct 16, 1927 and attended Miami High School. He left for the Navy before he picked his high school diploma, trying to be part of the World War II effort. After being honorably discharged, he waited a few months and returned to the Navy. He was part of a World Wide goodwill tour on the USS Columbus. After being honorably discharged for the second time, he made his home in Los Angeles, Calif. He worked at American Can during this time. In 1962, he returned to his home town, where he became a Bar Manager at the Sunset and Copper Hills Hotel. Frank also was part owner of Paul’s Place in Miami. Frank lived in Miami for the next 46 years until 2008, when he moved to Whitter, Calif. to be closer to what was left of his family. Frank was proceeded from this life by brothers, Joe, Henry, Paul, and Gilbert; and sisters, Mary Trinie and Angie. Frank touched many, many lives and he will be greatly missed Thank you all from the Gonzales, Sarmiento, Vasquez and Delgado families for your consideration in our time of sorrow.
