RODMAN, Robert Charles


Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on January 29, 2006 - Robert Charles Rodman, 82, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2006 at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on August 15, 1923 in Kokomo, Indiana to Charles and Annie Rodman. Robert served his country proudly in the US Navy from 1940 to 1947 and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor, he returned to serve his country again in 1951 for the Korean War. Robert was one of the first "Radar Men" which, at the time, was a new and classified technology. His service included time on the USS Raleigh, USS Irwin, USS Bremerton and the USS LSM-447. Robert was a member of the Weldon Methodist Church, a life member of the VFW as well as the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. Golf and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. Robert and his loving wife, Pat, relocated to Lake Havasu City eight years ago, coming from Lake Isabella, CA. Robert will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, generous man who loved God, his Country, family and friends. He especially loved donating to the Lake Havasu Food Bank because he wanted the children to always have enough to eat, his family said. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Pat Rodman of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; sons, David and Joe Rodman; daughters, Linda Rodman, Carol Riddell, Nancy Ticher and Janet Pryzbylok, all of California; sister, Betty Phillips of Terre Haute, Indiana; brother, Charles Rogers of Frankfort, Indiana and cousin, Joann Mills of Gold Canyon, AZ. Graveside service will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens on Friday, February 03, 2006 at 10:00 AM. with Full Military Honors presented by the Marine Corps League, Lake Havasu Detachment.
