CASTANEDA, Joseph (Joey)


Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Tuesday, August 28, 2012 Joseph “Joey” Castaneda, age 55 of Globe, Ariz., passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012. Joey was born on Aug. 21, 1956, in Miami, Ariz., the son of Helen Esquival and Jesus Castaneda. He was a member of the Globe Christian Center and was a moderator for the Christian Debate and Doctrine website. He liked watching movies, fishing, building, mechanics and fixing everything. Joey was a man of faith who enjoyed reading the Bible, but most of all, his family was his life. Joey is preceded in death by his father, Jesus; one son, Eric Castaneda; and three brothers, Bebe Castaneda, Richard Castaneda and Willie Castaneda. Joey leaves behind in loving memory his wife, Brenda Mae; his mother, Helen; two daughters, Joy Lynn Castaneda of Medford, Ore. and Arlette Renee Castaneda of Danville, Calif.; three sons, R.J. Castaneda of Globe, Ariz., Travis Joseph Castaneda of Globe, Ariz. and Derreck Kinney of Globe, Ariz.; two brothers, Jimmy Castaneda of Miami, Ariz. and Ralph Castaneda of White River, Calif.; and two sisters, Inez Drescher of Tennessee and Connie Erwin of Globe, Ariz. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at Globe Christian Center, 509 E. Maple Street, Globe, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Frank Quiroz were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services, Globe.
