Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Lodie Ellen Coochise August 26, 2012 Funeral Services for Lodie Ellen Coochise, 55, will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Polacca, AZ. Viewing will be held one hour prior at the church. Interment to follow at the Coochise Ranch-Talahogan. Lodie Coochise passed away on August 26, 2012 in Polacca, AZ after an 8 month battle with cancer. She was born on November 14, 1956 in Keams Canyon, AZ. Lodie graduated from Orem High School then attended BYU. She worked for A.P.S. for 12 years at Data Entry then she left to work for Toby House as an accountant and finally for AZ D.E.S. until she could no longer work. She moved back to Polacca in Oct 2009. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Polacca and served at the time as Genealogical Research and Librarian. She loved to shop, sew, embroidery and most of all spending time with family especially her nieces and nephews, many of whom she raised. She had an open heart and always was willing to give and share what she had. Lodie had the prettiest smile. She is survived by sisters, Verlinda Adams of Polacca, AZ and Belva Linda Wahwassuck of Mayetta, KS.; brothers, Elbridge Coochise of Phoenix, AZ and George Coochise of Winslow, AZ.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob B. Coochise and Beulah Naha; sisters, Anna Mae Coochise and Antoinette Gloria Coochise; brother, Vinton Coochise.
