Bunker Family Funeral & Cremation, Mesa, Arizona Robert Lafayette Gardner April 16, 1942 ~ August 27, 2012 Robert “Bob” Lafayette Gardner passed away at his residence in Mesa, AZ on August 27, 2012. He was born on April 16, 1942 in Ely, NV to Wayne & Helen Gardner. Bob was raised in Lund, NV. He graduated from Mesa High School, in Mesa AZ and attended college in Cedar City, UT. He attended boot camp at Fort Ord, CA. He then returned to Lund, NV where he married and was blessed with 3 sons, Wade, Kent, & Brett. Bob is survived by his son Wade (Carol) Gardner of Lund, NV, a brother Elbert (Kathleen) Gardner of Mesa AZ, his sisters Mary Ann (Jerry) Hearn of Mesa AZ, Sherril Passey of Salt Lake City, UT, Vesta Gardner American Fork, UT, grandson Tyson (Shannon) Gardner South Carolina, step-grandson Anthony Willis, Evanston, WY, step-granddaughter Erica Willis, Ely, NV; 5 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kaydnce, Logan, Bryson, & Jace; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and two of his sons Kent & Brett. Funeral services are Saturday September 1, 2012 at 11 AM, preceded by a viewing at 10 AM, at the LDS Church on Main Street in Lund, NV. Interment will be at the Lund Cemetery. Arrangements by Bunker’s Garden Chapel.
