Norma Jarvis Crosby died Aug. 29, 2012, in Mesa. She was born Dec. 23, 1915, in St. Johns.
Norma spent a carefree childhood in Eagar riding horseback over the White Mountains. She moved to St. Johns where she finished elementary and high school. It was here she met her eternal companion and the love of her life, Johnny. She loved nature and loved to roam the hills collecting rocks, arrowheads and purple grass. She is loved and revered by her children and over 240 descendants.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, John T. Crosby and an infant daughter, Norma.
She is survived by her seven children and their spouses: Steve and Sharon Crosby; Ken and Pam Crosby; Sarah and Lamar Gray; Elliot and Karen Crosby; Norman Crosby; Carla and John Sharp; Annette and Tim Shreeve.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the St. Johns Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow the services at the St. Johns Cemetery.
