James Dexter Eagan, 63, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on January 14, 1949 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Burton Walter and Helen Marie (Leahy) Eagan.
James graduated from San Fernando High School in 1967. He received a Bachelors and Masters degree from UCLA and obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri in 1975. James owned his own dental practices in Duarte, CA, Chico, CA and Cottonwood, AZ.
He married the love of his life, Terri Lee Eagan, in 1978. James and Terri Lee were married for 32 years before Terri Lee passed away in 2011. His passions were hiking in the desert, botany, Bible Study, boating with friends and family and enjoying the tranquility and serenity of the outdoors. He was a resident of Lake Havasu for 12 years, moving here from Chico, CA. James was a dedicated attendee of Calvary Chapel of Lake Havasu. Phil 1:6-7, "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun good work in you, will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ".
James is survived by his sister, Arlene (Robert) Holmes; brother, Andrew Evan Eagan and many very well loved nieces, nephews and cousin as well as his extended family, including his in-laws, Terry and Nancy Trout, Steve and Cyndy Pentz and Carter and Shawn Thorson.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Terri Lee Eagan.
Memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Lake Havasu, 1881 W. Acoma Blvd. on September 15, 2012 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Ray Carter officiating.
