Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on September 5, 2012 - Jeanine Jones, 67, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, August 31, 2012 by the light of the Blue Moon following a year long struggle with lung cancer. She was born on Septebmer 15, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona to Stan and Marion (Baumiller) Jones. Jeanine moved from Yucca Valley, California to Lake Havasu City in 1985. While in California she worked at Morongo Basin Work Activity Center for mentally challenged adults before going on to her desire to be a graphic artist. She worked for a number of years at Jet Printing in Lake Havasu. Jeanine had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. She made many friends along the way including Australia and Canada. She loved to go boating and enjoyed the outdoors. She had a passion for horses and did a lot of videos of many horse shows. Many blessings for their care and comfort to Chaplain Kathy and New Hope Hospice of Havasu. Jeanine’s good friends Marcia Hostetter and Ginger Harris who stayed by her side to the end and gave her the support and personal care needed for her well being. Through their efforts Jeanine was able to maintain a semblance of the care-free life she enjoyed. Donations may be directed to New Hope Hospice. Jeanine was preceded in death by her daughter Vicki Lee Tesnow, her father, Stan Jones (“Mr. Lake Powell”) of Page, Arizona and her mother Marion Baumiller Haugsness of Wilmette, Illinois and Lake Havasu. Jeanine is survived by grand daughter Elisa and husband Michael Aleman great grand daughter Makayla Aleman, sister, Sherry and husband Gale Wagoner of Lake Havasu, brothers, Ralph Jones of Las Vegas, NV. and Steve Jones of San Jose, Ca., step brother Ken Haugsness of Buffalo Grove, Illinois and 6 cousins, 3 aunts and 2 nephews.
