Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on September 5, 2012 - Georgia Bolton, 96, on Aug. 17, 2012, went to be with the Lord. She was born at home in Noxapater, Miss., March 17, 1916. Georgia’s life was spent helping others and enjoying the company of her friends and family. She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women and spent her career working on Indian reservations as a home economics teacher; and in the public school systems at Sells and Parker, Ariz., as a second grade teacher. Gardening was Georgia’s passion and she spent as much time as possible working in her garden. She was a member of the Parker and Yuma garden clubs for 50 years. She felt at peace and close to God when gardening. We wish to thank her garden club friends for the joy they brought to her life. She was also an artist and created many paintings of places she visited and wrote gardening articles for the Desert Gardener column in the Yuma Sun for several years. She leaves behind her daughter Karen (Randy) Bowen and their two children, Gina and Charlie; daughter Marty (David) Dauwalder and children Courtney and Tyler (Shaina); great-granddaughter, Romi; her son George (Carolyn) Bolton and their children Tommy, Steven, Christy and Danny. She was preceded in death by husband Art Bolton; parents, George and Mattie Crow; and brother Ruben Crow.
