James C Snyder passed from this life at the end of August 2012. He was born in Long Beach, California in July 1932 and lived his early life in Wilmington California graduating from Banning High School in 1951. After marrying Pauline Newson, he and his wife resided in Torrance, California until 1993 when they retired to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
He was a Korean War veteran, having served four years in the Air Force. From a young age, he was fascinated with making model airplanes. He continued that hobby the remainder of his life, and was a member of the Desert Hawks. His other hobbies included remote-control boats, hunting, guns, and working in his workshop, making and repairing the model airplanes and boats. He will be sorely missed by many of the friends that he and Pauline met through the airplane and boat clubs.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Snyder and Tracy Dimler, both of California, his sister Georgianna Gingold of Santa Fe, New Mexico and his two nieces and nephew. A memorial service and reception is being planned at a later date.
