West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, September 07, 2012 Raul S. Castaneda, 75, of Tolleson died Aug. 30, 2012, in Phoenix. Mr. Castaneda was born to Alipio and Refugia of Phoenix. He was a music teacher for 35 years, musician and owner of Castaneda's Music Center. He served in the U.S. Army, was a volunteer fireman in Tolleson for 12 years, served on the Tolleson City Council for eight years and was in the Civil Air Patrol. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Josefina; one son, Gian Carlo; two daughters, Sonia Ali and Bianca Mia Castaneda; one brother, Ruben Castaneda; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 9 at Advantage Crystal Rose, 9155 W. Van Buren St. in Tolleson. A Mass celebration will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 512 N. 93rd Ave. in Tolleson, with interment to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
