GRIFFIN, Gerald

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, September 07, 2012 Gerald Griffin, 86, of Buckeye died Aug. 31, 2012, at his home. Mr. Griffin was born Feb. 13, 1926, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Mary Agnes Clark and John Francis Griffin. He served in the Navy during WWII from 1944 to 1946. He then worked in sales and construction, and retired from the Austin Co. in 1991. He was preceded in death by two children and two grandchildren. He is survived by many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1002 E. Eason Ave. in Buckeye. Burial will follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.
