Dorothy Knaus, 90 of Cottonwood, died September 2, 2012. She was born January 19, 1922, in Canton, Texas, the daughter of Walter and Dora (Lambeth) Pirtle.
As a young lady her first job was a Telegraph Operator in Dallas, Texas. In 1945 she married Rudy Knaus and to this union 2 daughters were born. After living in Denver, CO for a few years, the family moved to West Covina, CA where Dorothy worked as a secretary for many years and retired from California State University.
Dorothy was preceded in death by daughter Judy Robbins and grandson Thomas Fleischmann. She is survived by daughter Susan Buening of CA; sister Audi and niece Sherry of OK; three grandsons, two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
