Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, September 9, 2012 - Robert (Bob) Wynn Meeh, a resident of Lake Havasu City since 2004 and formerly of Apple Valley, Calif., passed away Aug. 27, 2012 at the age of 65 in Phoenix. Bob was born Jan. 20, 1947 in Blythe, Calif. He grew up in Heavener, Okla. and San Diego, Calif. Bob joined the US Air Force and worked as an aircraft maintenance tech during the Vietnam War. He transferred his skills to working on heavy equipment for mines in Eagle Mountain, Calif. and OMYA in Lucerne Valley, Calif., which led to his career as Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. He also worked for Terex Corp in the early 1980s. Bob and his wife, Vickie own Lucerne Valley Auto Parts, (NAPA) in Lucerne Valley, Calif. Bob retired in 2004 from OMYA and had since said, “Every day is Saturday!” During his retirement, Bob enjoyed time with friends at the Elks Lodge of Lake Havasu City. Bob’s true passion was building hotrods, which produced several show winning beauties. His mechanical wisdom was sought after by many, and he was always willing and able to help friends with their complex car problems. He was a member and 2009 President of the Over the Hill Gang, a car club. Bob is survived by his wife, Vickie; children, Julie Blodgett and Karalyn Meeh, of Buena Park, Calif., Andy Meeh, of Vista, Calif. and Chelle Meeh, of Flagstaff; grandsons, Benjamin, Rayden, Joshua and Rollen; son-in-law, Ron Blodgett and daughter-in-law, Tamra Meeh; siblings, Becky Green, of El Cajon, Calif., Pammie and Steve Hudson, of Alpine, Calif. and Dennis and Jill Meeh of Foresthill, Calif. Bob was a caring, loving father and husband and a “really cool” grandpa. His sudden passing has left an un-measurable hole in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will take place Sept. 29, 11 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, Lake Havasu City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
