Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on September 9, 2012 - John M. Gregg, 69, passed away in Kingman on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, after a six-month battle with cancer. John passed from this life to the next while surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born in Springerville, Ariz., on July 26, 1943, was part Choctaw Indian and a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by this father, Robert Jewel Gregg, and mother, Lottie Mae Burrows Gregg. John worked as a custom cabinetmaker most of his life, enjoyed playing the guitar, camping and fishing and was a huge NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bobbie Gregg of Kingman; two brothers, Junior Gregg of Carlsbad, N.M., and Jessie Gregg of Placerville, Calif.; his five children, Mitch Gregg (Kennie Sue) of Kingman, Kay Gregg Row (Vernon Row) of Kingman, Terry Gregg of Kingman, Debra Gregg Bongiorno (Gaetano) of Chandler, and Carla Gregg Reif (David Reif) of Kingman. He was a loving grandfather to Jace Reif (Rochelle) and Avory Row of Kingman, and Samuel Bongiorno and Gianna Bongiorno of Chandler. He was further blessed to have one great-granddaughter, Cambree Reif, also of Kingman. John also had many nieces and nephews. The family will be celebrating his life with a private memorial service in the White Mountains.
