DECLAY, Katherine

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/11/2012 Katherine Bush Declay, 68, of Whiteriver, went to be with the Lord Sept. 1, 2012. She resided at Tall Pines Nursing Home in Show Low. Katherine was born March 16, 1944, in Whiteriver to Charlie Bush and Dollie Dean. During a portion of her life, she lived in Long Beach Calif. She met and married Wilson Declay Sr. and she enjoyed sewing and baking. She was a cook for the elderly services for many years. Katherine is survived by her husband, Wilson Declay Sr.; three sons: Donovan Bush, Wilson Declay Jr. and Andrew Edwards; grandchildren: Martino Declay, Trevor Declay, Raul Martinez Jr., Nyjoel Declay and Nytron Declay. She was preceded in death by Martinez Declay Sr. and Wilmer Declay. A two night wake was held in her honor Saturday, Sept. 8 at 4606 Tessler Rd, in the community of East Fork. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 10, at the Fire on the Mountain Church in East Fork and Interment was at the Mission View Cemetery also in East Fork. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
