West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, September 14, 2012 Jesse James Ortiz, 44, of Avondale died Sept. 4, 2012. Mr. Ortiz was born May 5, 1968, in Phoenix to Pablo and Manuela Ortiz. He was a professional boxer. He is survived by four daughters, Sonia, Serena, Kimberly and Jamie Ortiz; four sons, Jesse, J.J., Christopher and Peter Ortiz; his mother, Manuela Ortiz; four sisters, Stella Ortiz, Yoli Perez, Maria Gallardo and Teresa Ortiz; four brothers, George, Joe, Manny and Pablo Ortiz Jr.; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon today at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, 522 E. Western Ave. in Avondale, followed by a service at noon.
