Hugh E. Mann passed away on Sept. 12, 2012 at the age of 83 in Las Vegas, Nev. Hugh was born Aug. 20, 1929 in London, Ontario, Canada to May and Reginald Mann.
Hugh served a five-year apprentice to become a Licensed Mechanic, which is required in Canada, and worked for Middlesex Motors in London. Hugh opened and owned a service station in London. He wanted to work in the USA so he immigrated in 1960 to San Clemente, Calif. and worked at Bowles-Stamp Ford, retiring in 1989.
After retirement Hugh was able to travel and truly enjoyed his trips especially with his sons, Douglas and Donald. Hugh and his family moved to Lake Havasu City, in 2001 and truly loved the city, his home and the views. Hugh enjoyed NASCAR and was fortunate to be able to go to several races in person.
Hugh leaves behind his wife of 62 years of marriage, June Mann, of Lake Havasu City; son, Douglas (Nancy) Mann, of Irons, Mich.; brother, Gary Mann, of London, Ontario, Can; brother in law, Gerald (Leenie) Green, of London, Ontario, Canada; nephews and nieces, Todd (Helen) Green, of British Columbia, Tracy Green, from London, Mike Green, from London and Kelly Bell, from London. Predeceased by his parents, May and Reginald; son, Donald W. Mann; sister, Hedy, and uncle, George Waters.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Hugh’s name to any local Hospice of your choice or any other charitable organization would be appreciated.
As per Hugh’s request, he will be cremated and there will be no services.
