Heber J. Trunnell, 88, of Flagstaff, died peacefully on September 14th, 2012 at the Olivia White Hospice Home. Heber was born on June 27th, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah where he lived until he was 21. He attended BYU and served in the Army. He raised a large family in the northwest with his first wife Ann.
In 1984 he moved to Flagstaff, Arizona where he met Erika Greene.
Together they enjoyed many years of travel, spending time with family, friends and neighbors, and running Heber's successful masonry business. Heber was a creative, hardworking and talented stone mason whose work can be seen throughout northern Arizona. He was always available to lend his talents to friends and neighbors to help beautify their homes with his creative stonework.
Heber is survived by Erika, his wife of 28 years, and stepchildren Ruth Austin and Sam Greene along with their families. He is also survived by 18 children, nearly 200 grand- and great-grandchildren across the country. He loved to read, and was a creative artist and story teller. He will be remembered for his kind heart, wisdom and generous spirit. He will be dearly missed.
His family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at the Olivia White Hospice Home for making his last few months comfortable.
