Donald Claridge Rogers, 82, died Aug. 31, 2012, in Eagar. He was born May 1, 1930, in Safford.
Donald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954-56. He worked as a clerk for the Apache County Treasurer Office, was assistant manager at Valley National Bank and owned Western Auto store, retiring in 2007. Don was a pilot, rock hound, a prospector and gardener. He made beautiful jewelry and remodeled his house. He had fun with his metal detector and helped start a branch of the Civil Air Patrol.
He is survived by wife, Robyn Rogers; sons: D. Corey Rogers, Steven Rogers and Paul Rogers; daughters: Rhoda Cox, Christie Ennis, Trina Rogers and Tawna Rogers; brother Robert H, Rogers; sister Susan Ann Holladay; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pearl Rogers, brother Joe Rogers Jr., son Jared Rogers and brother Gail Rogers.
Funeral services were held Sept. 5.
Burnham Mortuary handled arrangements.
