Ralph Massey, 58 of Cedar Creek AZ, went into eternal life on Wednesday September 12, 2012 in Whiteriver AZ, surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born May 6, 1954 to the late Guy Sr. and Florence (Gordon) Massey. He was friendly and kind to all and had many friends throughout the reservation.
Ralph was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, He also enjoyed playing horseshoe and entered in many horseshoe tournaments on the reservation and loved the sport of rodeo. He would always be seen at a rodeo, bull bash or junior rodeos to watch his niece and grandson participate. Ralph also loved taking long nature walks or hikes daily and enjoyed reading. He also loved to make tennis rackets and was excellent at butchering cows. He was a dependable, responsible and loving individual to be around and will be greatly missed. Words simply cannot describe the emptiness and sorrow felt by his family and wonderful friends.
Ralphs survivors include Sister: Gertrude Taylor, Patsey (Donny) Clawson, Laverne Altaha and Delphine Altaha. Brother: Thomas (Ludy) Altaha, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Guy Sr. and Florence (Gordon) Massey. Brothers: Logan Massey Sr., Raymond Massey, Minor Massey Sr. and Herold Patterson, Sisters: Regina Cosen and Helena Altaha. Aunts: Mary Patterson and Eleanor Paxson.
A Two night wake will begin in his honor Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM at his residence in Cedar Creek AZ. Funeral Services are Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Cedar Creek Assembly of God Church.
Interment will follow at the R-14 family plot cemetery. Ralphs family is thankful for all the expressions of sympathy they have received and are especially grateful for the prayers offered on their behalf.
