Philip E. Jost, age 78, a 35-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away from pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in Bullhead City, Ariz. He was born on February 28, 1934.
Owner and broker of Sun Desert Realty, Philip worked and lived and made memories along side his wife, Tricia with whom he carried on a 35 year long love affair. They were an inseparable couple whose marriage set the standard for sacrifice and respect.
Philip was a Mason, a Shriner, and had been a member of the Elks, Moose, the Mohave Gun Club and the Las Vegas Gun Club. He was a pilot, owner of a few Cessna airplanes. He became an avid competitive trap shooter ,a gold miner and desert explorer. Philip was a constant fixture at trap tournaments all over the tri state area, as well as a daily desert explorer armed with camera and binoculars to watch over his family of burros, sheep, quail and coyotes from his favorite desert mountain spot. Philip was always an enthusiastic participant in many Bullhead City Chili Cook- offs, Burro Barbeque and other traditional community events. He loved Bullhead City from the day he landed his Cessna at the Bullhead City Airport, and decided to make it his home.
The Bullhead City community, the Jost family and the friends of Philip have lost a good, and kind man.

Philip is survived by his wife, Tricia Jost of Bullhead City, Ariz.; sister, Carmin Perdue Harris; two brothers Gary Perdue and Ronnie Perdue; and four daughters, Shelly Dicey, Christie Stoner, Kimberly Jost, and Melanie Thompson.
Cremation arrangements handled by Desert Lawn Mortuary.
A public Celebration of Life honoring Philip will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Harrah's Hotel, 2900 S. Casino Drive, Laughlin, Nev. in the Ensenada/Coronado Room. Attire is casual Hawaiian shirts.
