RUFF, Don


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, September 22, 2012 Don Ruff was called home by his Lord on Sept. 19, 2012. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Sept. 3, 1926. He moved to Phoenix in 1952, and got a job with A.P.S. He was with them for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was an Eagle Scout and a Scout Master to a Boy Scout Troop at Prescott Heights Baptist Church in the 1970s. He was in the Navy in WWII. Don started "Reserve-a-Ride" for the American Red Cross and was a volunteer at the VA Medical Center. Don is survived by his wife, Ellie Bunn-Ruff; two daughters, Cheryl Bicker and Carolyn Aiken; sons-in-law Dan Bicker and Michael Aiken; a son, Craig Ruff; sister Lois Elsea; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He will be buried in the Prescott National Cemetery with full military honors. A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Cornerstone Church on the corner of Rosser and Demerse. Information provided by survivors.
