Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from September 23 to September 30, 2012 - Margaret (Lessner) Coombs Wiemken, age 80, a 17-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz, died after a long illness on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at her home in Bullhead City, Ariz. She was assisted during her illness by her son, David Wayne Coombs and Hospice Compassus of Bullhead City. Margaret was born on March 11, 1932, in LaPlata, Maryland. She relocated from Maryland and worked in the San Diego, California area before her eventual relocation to Bullhead City in 1995. She was married to Larry Wiemken for 30 years, until his death in 2009. During her years in Bullhead City, she worked at the River Palms Casino in Laughlin until her retirement in 2007. Her hobbies included knitting, playing bingo, and reading. Margaret was preceded in death by husband, Larry Weimken; father, Martin Lessner; and mother, Lois Kenlon Lessner. Margaret is survived by two daughters, Beth (Larry) Martin, and Sherrill (Alan) Waple; son, David Wayne Coombs; brother, Bill Lessner; three grandsons, Seth (Carly) Waple, Kyle Waple, and Brandon Coombs; and two great-grandsons, Nick and Drew Waple.
