West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, September 25, 2012 Julio Becerra Jr., 55, of Avondale died Sept. 18, 2012, in Sunnyslope. Mr. Becerra was born March 6, 1957, in Phoenix to Julio H. and Maria E. Becerra. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale. He worked for the city of Glendale's Parks and Recreation Department. He is survived by his wife, Ruth R. Becerra; his mother, Maria E. Becerra; two daughters, Sabrina and Rachel; three brothers, Daniel, Ruben and Samuel; five sisters, Irene Bandin, Catalina Morelas, Berta, Ernestina and Minu Fenstermaker; and two grandchildren. Services will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road in Peoria, and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Williams Catholic Church, 11001 W. Third St. in Avondale. The Rev. Mario Garcia will officiate.
