EDWARDS, Evelyn Arlene

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, September 25, 2012 Evelyn Arlene Edwards, 86. of Cottonwood, passed away on Sept. 22, 2012. She was born on Dec. 13, 1925, in Guide Rock, Neb., to Raymond Lowry and Helen Crowell. Evelyn attended Phoenix Union for two years. She worked for Frontier Foods in Phoenix for 10 years as a floor lady (she made potato chips) and worked for First Federal Savings as a switchboard operator for 10 years. Evelyn belonged to Verde Bible Fellowship. She enjoyed crocheting and dancing. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Elmer E. Edwards and sister Betty Newbrey. She is survived by daughter Patsy Arlene Procunier (Donald) of Cottonwood; brother Earl Lowry (Ruby) of Phoenix; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
