NEEDHAM, Doris Elizabeth

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, September 26, 2012 Doris Elizabeth Needham died Sept. 15 peacefully at home. She was 96 and had been a resident of Wickenburg for 45 years. She was born in Seattle, Wash., on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1915. She was raised in Pennsylvania, graduated high school in Pittsburgh, attended Allegheny College and graduated from Meadville Commercial College. She worked as a secretary for many years. Doris and her husband owned and operated The Mr. & Mrs. Shop on Apache Street from 1967 to 1975. She was a past president of the Soroptimist Club, served on the boards of Las Damas and the Hospital Auxiliary and was buyer for the Hospital Gift Shop for three years. She was a charter member of Las Senoras. She was a member of the Wickenburg Country Club. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Harry in 1985. Arrangements were handled by David’s Desert Chapel of Wickenburg. No services are planned Donations in remembrance may be made to a charity of your choice.
