Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, September 26, 2012 Jennie Salcido O’Neill, age 65, of Globe, Ariz., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. She was born in Globe, Ariz. on June 24, 1947, the daughter of Lupe (Gutierrez) and Ralph Salcido. This year, Jennie was able to see Sedona and the Grand Canyon, fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams. She was an awesome mom, always seeing to and taking great care of her children and all their friends. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Irene Serna and Mary Lou Quintero; and one brother, Roy Salcido. Jennie leaves behind in loving memory her three children, Marie Urquidez and her husband Paul of Globe, Ariz., Christopher Salcido of Globe, Ariz. and Genea Nierdieck and her husband Daniel of Globe, Ariz.; three brothers, Ralph Salcido and his wife Mary of Globe, Ariz., Fred Salcido and his wife Helga of Sparks, Nev. and Ernest Salcido and his wife Carmen of Globe, Ariz.; one sister, Delia Randall of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Pat Salcido of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Joseph Swann, Jeremy Swann, Christopher Salcido, Jr., Jonathan Swann and Priscilla Salcido; and two great grandchildren, Andrea Swann and Jacob Swann. Jennie was an aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt to many and was a true friend to everyone. Memorial Mass was held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad Street, Globe, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Jennie S. O’Neill were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
