Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona SHANNON CAYE CEDERSTROM MARTINEZ (April 5, 1949 - September 24, 2012) Shannon Caye Cederstrom Martinez passed away September 24, 2012. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 5, 1949. Her parents are Charles E. Cederstrom (dec) and Beth Romney Cederstrom of Lakeside, Arizona. The family moved to Holbrook, AZ during her junior year in the School system. She attended 4-H and learned to care for her horse Cricket. She was fond of the Navajo County Rodeo and enjoyed participating in the horse racing with Cricket. Her specialty was Barrel Racing. One year she was the Rodeo Queen. She loved animals. In Holbrook High School she belonged to the Drum and Bugle Corp. She Married Samuel Martinez and had four sons, Samuel of Las Angeles, CA, Michael of Phoenix, AZ, Dustin and Nathan of Holbrook, AZ. Shannon had two granddaughters, the joys of her life, Morgan and Taylor. She had a brother Craig (dec) and sister Caron Mullen of Show Low, Az. Shannon was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Shannon will always be remembered as being fun loving with a wonderful sense of humor. Even though she was faced with a medical challenge the past few years she was very caring of others. She wanted the best for everyone. The Rosary/Viewing is to be held Friday September 28, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM at The Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook Arizona.
