The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/28/2012 Anne Marie McMurray, 85, died Sept. 16, 2012, at her home in Springerville. She was born Nov. 9, 1926, to Thomas “Terry” McMurray and Mary McCabe McMurray in Fitchburg, Mass. She attended St. Bernards Parochial school in Fitchburg until her high school graduation in 1945. She enjoyed music, being an accomplished piano player, and singer. She also enjoyed card games of any type, going to the casino with friends and spent many hours on her computer playing games and learning new things through Google. She read many books of different genre. In her earlier years she truly liked camping out. At age 68, she learned to speak Spanish so that she could converse with the clerks and cashiers in stores where she shopped in Arizona. She spent 30 years in the work force as a bookkeeper and office manager in the Milwaukee, Wis. area, retiring in 1991, and then moved permanently to Arizona in 1993. She is survived by her sons: David (Patte) Testa of Atlantic, Iowa; Stephen Testa of Milwaukee, Wis.; daughter Donna (Chuck) Cole of Green Bay, Wis.; grandson Blake Testa; and friend Melissa Peterson of Olivia, Minn.; great grandsons: Chase Testa of Montevideo, Minn.; Tristan Testa of Willmar, Minn.; brother Thomas (Jenna) McMurray of Uxbridge, Mass. and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Testa, parents, brothers: Andrew, Paul, Phillip, Ralph, Ritchie and her sisters: Mary Cormier and Isabelle Boucheau. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Springerville.
